El Toro airport supporter and former Marine pilot Tom Wall will lead a discussion tonight on the plan for the closed Marine base.
John Christensen, spokesman for the Orange County Marine Corps Air Station El Toro Master Development Program, said Wall will summarize the base’s planning history from 1993 to the present.
“He flew at El Toro, so he has a very intimate understanding of the airport,” Christensen said. “He’ll talk about [El Toro’s] future and where we’ll be going.”
The town hall meeting, which is hosted by the development program, will also provide residents with facts about the base’s reuse alternatives, Christensen said.
The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center, 24602 Aliso Creek Road, Laguna Niguel.
