YORBA LINDA

Yorba Linda residents Kim Leon and Mina Navarrete are starting a foundation to help families of children with special needs. The program, which will be launched next year, will provide evening child care so parents can take time off.
The foundation, called Christopher’s Angels, after Leon and Navarrete’s 6-year-old son, who is autistic, is seeking volunteers to help watch the children. The program will be based in Yorba Linda but open to residents in neighboring cities.
