Faas Joins ZLand.com as Finance Executive

Charles K. Faas has joined ZLand.com as senior director of finance and corporate controller. He was most recently with Cadence Design Systems Inc., where he was finance director and then controller of the consulting services division. Before that, Faas held several positions with IBM, including manager for western region accounting services and finance director.

Richard C. Ponce has been named vice president and chief compliance officer at Providential Securities Inc. in Fountain Valley, which recently announced its intent to be acquired by JR Consulting Inc. Ponce was formerly a staff accountant at the Securities and Exchange Commission, and a compliance examiner at the National Association of Securities Dealers.

David J. Steinhardt has joined PrintNation.com in Newport Beach as vice president of industry relations. Steinhardt previously served as executive director of PrintImage International, formerly the National Assn. of Quick Printers.

Luis De Taboada has joined Biolase Technology Inc. in San Clemente as vice president of engineering. De Taboada was previously with General Photonics Inc., Medical Optics Inc./Clinicon Inc. and, most recently, Laser Mechanisms West. Stephen T. DiRocco has been named director of manufacturing. DiRocco had been business manager of custom products at Sorin Biomedical Inc.
