Valley College

As a 75-year-old retiree who holds a master’s degree from UCLA and who has been a part-time student at Los Angeles Valley College for the past 10 years, I want to voice a hearty “Amen” for your editorial, “A Transformational Place” (Valley Edition Editorials, Dec. 5).

During this past decade, I have earned 59 units at this superb community college. Please know that (A) the instructors are excellent, (B) the classes are small and (C) this very nice campus would be even more attractive if the state would commit the funds necessary to replace the “temporary” bungalows, do major repairs and tidy up the place.
