Jesus Is the Reason for Celebration

Re “Kindling New Beliefs” (Dec. 3):

I feel you were remiss in your accuracy of depicting Christians as a group of people who would miss only the Christmas tree and lights of the season if they converted to Judaism.

I wish you would have written how Christmas is more than a “tradition” to us true believers in Christ. The Christmas season is for us a time to reflect on the birth of our Lord and savior.

And those who think of Christmas as only trees and lights have truly missed out on what it means to be a Christian. Jesus is the reason for the season.
