Bankers Trust Private Names Scudder Exec as Vice President

* Bankers Trust Private Banking has named Aaron Sokol private banking relationship manager and vice president of the Los Angeles-based unit of Deutsche Bank. Sokol will be responsible for new business development for the high-net-worth private banking markets. He previously served as a portfolio manager at Los Angeles-based Scudder Kemper Investments Inc.

* Edelman Public Relations Worldwide has appointed Gail Becker general manager and executive vice president of its Los Angeles office. The company also announced that John Stodder, currently senior vice president and director of its L.A. public affairs practice, was named deputy general manager.

* William Arman has been promoted to corporate vice president of human resources at Environmental Industries Inc., an international landscape management company based in Calabasas. The company also named David Mutter vice president of sales and marketing.
