Continuing to broaden its customer base, Syzygy Network Solutions recently completed a $375,000 contract to help retrofit the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills with a high-speed cable network.

The network, which covers administrative areas as well as guest and meeting rooms, is designed to help guests get online at lightning speed.

The hotel industry is amping up its connection to the Internet to accommodate the growing number of guests demanding a high-speed online link.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, for instance, has staff dedicated to helping guests get online, send faxes from their laptop and access e-mail. The program has been such a success, hotel officials say, that it will be re-created in Ritz hotels in Marina del Rey, San Francisco and Pentagon City, Va.

Syzygy, based in Orange, specializes in custom cabling and network services for corporations. The firm has handled several other system upgrades in the last year, including one for Irvine-based Bax Global, a provider of transportation services.
