Orange County’s largest independent CPA firm has merged with what could be its oldest.

Corbin & Wertz, with 52 employees, has acquired 40-year-old Little & Trank, swelling the ranks of the surviving firm to 60, including eight partners. The merged company will be called Corbin & Wertz.

The merger gives Irvine-based C&W; an estate planning specialty that the 16-year-old firm had lacked, said practice development director Greg Arbues. Little & Trank also had been based in Irvine.
