LAGUNA NIGUEL
The city agreed Tuesday night to make changes to a ball field lighting project that residents claimed would be a nuisance. Opponents of the Crown Valley Elementary School project complained that it would bring too much noise and light in their area. Residents spoke for nearly two hours and persuaded council members not to schedule games on Sunday and to turn the lights off half an hour earlier than originally proposed. Residents who had sued the city then agreed to drop their complaints.
