For more than 25 years, Faulker worked in the finance industry, retiring about 10 years ago from Van Nuys Savings & Loan, where he worked in the mortgage and real estate department.

Two years ago, Faulkner moved with his wife to Oxnard. The couple enjoyed traveling and taking walks. In September, they visited the White House and the Smithsonian Institute and in May, they took a cruise to Alaska.

“He was good and warm-hearted, and everybody liked him,” said Faulkner’s wife, Joyce. “He always had a smile on his face.”

In addition to his wife, Faulkner is survived by a son, Kelly Scott Faulkner of Canyon Country; two daughters, Holly Ann DeFelice of Las Vegas and Donnaire Faulkner of Van Nuys, and three grandchildren.

Faulkner will be cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Faulkner’s name to the Braille Institute in Santa Barbara.

James A. Reardon Mortuary in Oxnard is handling the arrangements.
