ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

VitalCom Inc.: The Tustin medical products company posted fourth-quarter net income of $56,259, or 1 cent a share, contrasted with a net loss of $377,496, or 5 cents a share, for the fourth quarter of 1997. Revenue declined 14% to $5.6 million from $6.5 million.

For the year, the company lost $1.5 million, or 18 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $4.6 million, or 58 cents a share, for 1997. Revenue was down 4% to $20.9 million from $21.8 million.
