* North State College Boulevard: An arrest was made for possession of narcotics in the 100 block at 11:36 a.m. Sunday.

* North Orange Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

* Columbia Drive: A caller in the 7311 block reported at 8:59 a.m. Wednesday that someone stole a skateboard.

COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: A car battery worth $55 was stolen from a store in the 2900 block about 6 p.m. Friday.

CYPRESS

* Lemon Avenue: A gold Ford Aerostar parked in the 5900 block was reported burglarized at 2:53 p.m. Sunday.

DANA POINT

* Corniche Drive: A robbery alarm was reported in the 100 block at 3:50 p.m. Monday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Harbor Boulevard and Edinger Avenue: Someone threw an egg at a passing car in the 2230 block at 10:30 p.m. Friday.

FULLERTON

* Deerpark Drive: A residential burglary in the 1900 block was reported at 2:07 p.m. Sunday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Arrowhead Street at Lampson Avenue: Police are looking for a suspect who posed as a police officer and sexually assaulted two women. One assault took place near the above intersection, the other near Newland Street and Trask Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (714) 741-5707.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Alabama Street: A woman reported that when she complained to her neighbors in the 1400 block about loud music late Saturday night, they yelled obscenities at her.

IRVINE

* West Yale Loop: Two juveniles were cited at a high school in the 300 block for possessing tobacco at 8:04 a.m. Wednesday.

* Vintage Woods Road: A robbery alarm was reported triggered in the 26000 block at 5:10 p.m. Monday.

LA PALMA

* Centerpointe Drive: A 1997 Chrysler minivan was broken into between 12:01 and 6 a.m. Sunday.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Howard Avenue: A car struck a pedestrian at 7:35 p.m. near Lexington Drive on Monday, causing abrasions to both legs. The pedestrian was taken to Los Alamitos Medical Center.

MISSION VIEJO

* Amable: A robbery alarm was reported triggered in the 28000 block at 6:25 p.m. Monday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Irvine Avenue: A cellular phone worth $250 was stolen from a car in the 500 block between 4 and 5 p.m. Thursday.

ORANGE

* South Wayfield Street: A motorist reported the theft of $200 from his parked car in the 300 block at 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

PLACENTIA

* West Chapman Avenue: A vehicle burglary in the 700 block was reported at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday. The window of a Ford Escort parked at Placentia Plaza was smashed, and stereo equipment valued at $75 was stolen.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Pico: Report of a robbery alarm triggered in the 700 block at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Via de Oliva: Report of a robbery alarm triggered in the 32000 block at 4:08 p.m. Monday.

SANTA ANA

* South Main Street: A Santa Ana man was arrested on suspicion of trying to steal a car parked outside a bar and threatening two security guards who attempted to stop him. Police said the man brandished a knife as the guards approached in the parking lot in the 2500 block at 12:05 a.m. Monday. A window of the auto had been smashed. No one was injured.

SEAL BEACH

* Ocean Avenue: Officers following up on a burglar alarm triggered in the 900 block found two adults and three juveniles throwing away cans of spray paint near a restaurant at 8:38 a.m. Sunday. The five were taken into custody after officers found graffiti on the restaurant’s back wall.

STANTON

* Westminster Mall: A 22-year-old Santa Ana woman was charged with petty theft at 6:20 p.m. on Feb. 7.
