Killer of 12-Year-Old Sentenced to Die in Texas

EDINBURG, Texas —
A man who said the devil told him to kill a 12-year-old boy and drink his blood was sentenced to death Friday by a jury that rejected claims that he should be spared because he has mental problems.
Pablo Lucio Vasquez, 21, was convicted in the slaying of David Cardenas, who was found scalped and dismembered in a field near the Mexican border last April.
