Lee Baca

I was in the booster group that Sheriff Lee Baca visited in Altadena (Feb. 10)--the real name of which is the Sheriff Support Group of Altadena. The community is most favorable to getting the sheriff here any way it can and hearing firsthand what he has in mind for the protection of people and property in the area.

I was favorably impressed with his comments and demeanor at the meeting. He exudes a calm and confident approach which motivates and reassures. This is tremendously important to implant, with the passing of Sherman Block and the new guard taking over administration of the department. Baca’s no-nonsense approach to law enforcement is welcome and quite a contrast with what we have in the presidency of the United States. The cost of the helicopter is an investment in community morale and as such is well spent.
