Making Connections
Information about abstinence, teenage parenthood and youth mentoring programs in this area is available from the state’s Partnership for Responsible Parenting program, run by the California Department of Health Services.
Free brochures are available through the program’s hotline, in addition to information for those who need a mentor or want to volunteer as a mentor.
The hotline includes a recorded message about abstinence narrated by a teen boy and a young mother.
To reach the 24-hour hotline in English or Spanish, call (877) 7-HOLDOFF or (877) 746-5363.
