Kerr’s Performance Has a Real Familiar Ring to It

Steve Kerr got his championship ring before the game and then found his three-point touch Sunday in his return to the United Center to help the San Antonio Spurs beat the Chicago Bulls, 89-76, at Chicago.

The Spurs held a one-point lead in the fourth quarter when Kerr made consecutive three-point shots to give San Antonio a 68-61 lead.

Kerr was three for three on three-point shots and finished with 11 points.

Orlando 85, Milwaukee 82--The Magic held Milwaukee to four points over the final 6:25 to knock the Bucks from the ranks of the unbeaten at Orlando, Fla., in a matchup of surprising division leaders.

Penny Hardaway scored 18 points and rookie Matt Harpring added 15 for Orlando.

Golden State 105, Portland 100--Chris Mills made a game-tying three-pointer in the final moments of overtime and a go-ahead jumper in the second overtime at Oakland for the Warriors’ first victory.

Terry Cummings led the Warriors with 24 points, including six points in the second overtime.

Philadelphia 78, Atlanta 70--Allen Iverson scored 32 points, including 15 in the first quarter, and the 76ers survived a cold-shooting (20%) fourth quarter to beat the Hawks at Philadelphia.

Vancouver 96, Dallas 92--Sam Mack made eight three-point shots, three shy of the NBA record, and scored 26 points as the Grizzlies won at Vancouver.
