Pushor Questionable With Shoulder Injury

Share

Defenseman Jamie Pushor is not expected to play tonight against the Kings because of a bruised left shoulder. It happened on one of a number of questionable hits in the Ducks’ 5-1 victory Sunday over the Phoenix Coyotes--at least the Ducks believed them to be questionable.

Phoenix center Tavis Hansen slammed Pushor against the glass long after he had passed the puck early in the third period. No penalty was called.

Pushor skated to the bench, remained there for a few minutes but did not return to the ice.

“There were a lot of late hits or hits from behind on our defenseman,” Coach Craig Hartsburg said.

Expect Pascal Trepanier to take Pushor’s spot in the lineup tonight.

“Hopefully, he’s not going to be out too long,” Hartsburg said of Pushor.

Hartsburg said Guy Hebert would probably start in goal tonight, which would be his ninth consecutive start. Backup Dominic Roussel hasn’t played since the Ducks’ 3-3 tie Jan. 21 against Phoenix.
