In Golden State Athletic Conference men’s basketball:

Southern California College 96, Concordia 85--SCC held on to its 11-point halftime lead to win. Dennis Keane had 21 points to lead the Vanguards (11-18, 5-6). Josh Giles had a game-high 29 points for Concordia (16-13, 5-6).

In Golden State Athletic Conference baseball:

Point Loma Nazarene 8, Southern California College 3--SCC trailed by a run going into the eighth, but errors enabled Point Loma to score five runs in the inning. Eric Booth, who went eight innings, was the winning pitcher. Jeremiah Taylor got the loss for SCC (1-6, 0-5).

In nonconference baseball:

Chapman 6, La Verne 3--Chapman’s Jeff Blitstein held La Verne to one run through 6 2/3 innings. The Panthers’ offense was led by Pat Stevens, who hit his third home run of the season. La Verne rallied in the ninth, but Adam Peters came on to get the save for Chapman (4-0).
