* West Lincoln Avenue: Report of a residential burglary in the 3000 block at 8:52 a.m. Saturday.

* East Carpenter Avenue: Report of an automobile theft in the 3200 block at 11:10 p.m. Sunday.

* South Webster Avenue: Report of an assault and battery in the 600 block at 3:49 p.m. Saturday.

BREA

* West Birch Street: Report of a petty theft in the 100 block at 11:17 p.m. Sunday.

BUENA PARK

* Whitaker Street at Indiana Avenue: Police talked to five elementary school-age children who were throwing rocks at passing cars at 2:19 p.m. Monday.

COSTA MESA

* Minor Street: Someone broke into a car in the 2200 block and took a stereo worth about $100 and a money pouch with $6 in it during the evening of Feb. 10.

CYPRESS

* Hickory Circle: A 1995 Dodge van was burglarized in the 5100 block; reported at 5:23 p.m. Feb. 11. Somebody jimmied the door lock and stole a purse, backpack and camera with a total value of $335.

* Reefton Avenue: Report of a residential burglary in the 6800 block at 8:04 p.m. Feb. 11.

* Valley View Street: Report of a stolen 1992 red Mustang convertible in the 10200 block at 9:04 p.m. Feb. 11.

DANA POINT

* Calle La Primavera: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 33000 block at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday.

* Blackbird Avenue: Someone put sugar in a car’s gas tank and scratched profanities on the vehicle in the 9100 block sometime between midnight and 8:20 a.m. Saturday.

FULLERTON

* South Harbor Boulevard: Report of a burglarized 1991 gray Chevrolet in the 1100 block at 2:40 a.m. Feb. 11; items taken unknown.

GARDEN GROVE

* Trask Avenue: Police were looking for thieves who took sewing machines worth about $24,000 from a business in the 10600 block at 4 a.m. Sunday. Police said the door had been forced open with an ax and a crowbar.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Huntington Street: A silver Toyota van was stolen from the 2400 block at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday.

* Meredith Drive: Vandals covered a car with eggs and smashed its windshield in the 10200 block at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

IRVINE

* Barranca Parkway: A woman’s purse was reported stolen from a shopping cart at a store in the 3700 block at 5:04 p.m. Monday.

* Irvine Center Drive: A padlock was broken off a door at a construction site in the 8600 block and tools were stolen; reported at 9:37 p.m. Monday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Bonvue Terrace: Report of a vehicle burglary, with more than $1,500 in damage, in the 400 block Sunday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* De Salle Street: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 25000 block at 7:22 a.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Newport Way: A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday after a resident called police to report that a car had run into a tree in the 28000 block.

LA HABRA

* West Florence Avenue: Report of a grand theft in the 600 block at 9:05 p.m. Feb. 11.

LAKE FOREST

* El Toro Road: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 23000 block at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday.

LA PALMA

* La Palma Avenue: A man with a handgun robbed some people in the 4900 block at 10:54 a.m. Sunday. The man fled on foot and eluded police.

* Howard Avenue: A resident reported that a credit card was stolen from his mailbox near Los Alamitos Boulevard at 5:46 p.m. Monday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Limones: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 27000 block at 6:06 p.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Port Charles Drive: Several items of jewelry, cash and a Beanie Baby worth a total of $7,230 were stolen from a home in the 1000 block between 5 and 9 p.m. Friday.

* Sherington Place: A jacket worth $330 was stolen from a home in the 1800 block about 11 a.m. Sunday.

* Campus Drive: A wallet and its contents worth $150 were stolen from a car in the 4600 block between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Feb. 11.

ORANGE

* North Manzanita Street: A business was burglarized in the 1300 block; reported at 7:23 a.m. Saturday.

* East Spring Avenue: Police responded to an assault with a firearm in the 3900 block at 6:56 p.m. Saturday.

PLACENTIA

* South Walnut Avenue: Report of a vehicle burglary in the 300 block at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday; a toolbox, stereo equipment, speakers and an amplifier were stolen, with a total loss of $1,150.

* West Orangethorpe Avenue: Report of embezzlement in the 300 block at 12:14 p.m. Tuesday; friend of victim’s daughter allegedly used credit card without authorization, causing $410 loss.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida San Dimas: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 100 block at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Killarney Lane: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 33000 block at 5:05 p.m. Monday.

SANTA ANA

* East 4th Street: Police arrested a man for beating another man and then robbing him of $114 in the 300 block at 7:32 p.m. Sunday.

* Main Street: A cellular phone was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 6:12 p.m. Friday.

* Tacoma Circle: Report of a disturbance from a party in the 17000 block at 3:34 a.m. Feb. 11.

* Santiago Boulevard: Report of a suspicious person in the 17000 block at 9:05 a.m. Feb. 11.

* Westminster Mall: Two girls were detained by mall security for an alleged petty theft at 3:09 p.m. Sunday. The girls, ages 14 and 16, were released to their fathers.
