Kenny Inge, North Carolina State’s leading rebounder and No. 2 scorer, was suspended indefinitely Wednesday and did not make the trip to Chapel Hill, N.C., for the Wolfpack’s 62-53 loss to No. 14 North Carolina. Coach Herb Sendek said Inge was suspended for “attitude inconsistent with the mission of the team.” The 6-foot-8 Inge averages 12.1 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Mississippi senior center Johnnie Rogers was suspended for the rest of the season by Coach Rod Barnes, essentially ending his college career. While Barnes did not elaborate after the Rebels’ 69-67 loss to Tennessee, others said Rogers left the team during a practice session Sunday. . . . Nevada Las Vegas center Kaspars Kambala could be sidelined the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to remove cartilage from his right knee. . . . The contract of Holy Cross men’s basketball Coach Bill Raynor will not be renewed. Raynor’s contract expires at the end of this season, his fifth with the Crusaders.
