Farnham Getting Exposure

Share

That might have been a rare start for Sean Farnham on Wednesday, but it was also another sign in his recent push to become a part of the rotation.

Gaining opportunities because of the injury to Jerome Moiso, the ineffective play of Dan Gadzuric, and the blowout at California, Farnham has gone from being the last big man on the depth chart to playing eight, 11 and 18 minutes the last three games.

His 18 minutes Wednesday were a UCLA high for the junior from Clayton, Calif., always a prominent part of the Bruins because of his boisterous support from the bench but rarely this noteworthy in the box score. His second start resulted in six points, two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in the 68-63 victory over USC.

“To be able to be out there 18 minutes in a game that means what it did because of what happened up north is really great,” Farnham said.

Coming up: Sunday versus Syracuse, Thursday versus Washington State.
