City Auction Planned for Next Month

Share

Computers, office furniture and a pickup truck are some of the more than 100 items that will be up for bid at a city auction next month in Moorpark.

Beginning at 9 a.m. March 13, the city will begin selling surplus equipment during a public auction at the Moorpark Community Center at 799 Moorpark Ave.

“It’s an opportunity to buy a computer at a less expensive price than having to buy a new one,” said Joyce Figueroa, an administrative secretary for the city.

Several dozen Apple and IBM hard drives, monitors and printers that were manufactured between 1989 and 1992 will be available, as well as a 1987 Ford F350 truck, a piano, organs, refrigerators, a television and a drafting table.

All buyers must be present to participate and all sales are final. There are no warranties and all items must be paid with cash or check, Figueroa said. Items that are bought must be removed the same day.

For a complete list of items, call the city’s Department of Administrative Services at 529-6864, Ext. 246, or visit the city’s homepage on the Internet at moorpark@ci.moorpark.ca.us.
