Hospital Program to Offer Tax Assistance
For those confused by the newest tax forms or just a little unsure of how to pay taxes, Valley Presbyterian Hospital is offering free help.
Through April 13, the hospital’s Golden Vitality Program is running a mini-tax clinic for the public. Tax specialists will help people fill out simple tax bills (no itemized forms) and answer any questions about paying Uncle Sam.
If interested, please call Marla Cook at (818) 902-3911 to make an appointment, available Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The sessions will take about an hour and be held in the hospital’s Health Education Center, 15107 Vanowen St., Van Nuys.
“There’s a lot of people out there who may be confused by all the forms,” Cook said. “It’s not a bad idea to have someone help you if this is your first year doing your own taxes.”
