GARDEN GROVE
Garden Grove Unified School District employees raised an all- time high of $48,915 for United Way in the 1998-99 fund-raising campaign for Orange County. It’s an 8.3% increase over last year’s total. A district spokesman attributed the increase to new employees, administrators and principals. One of the main agencies in Garden Grove supported by United Way is the Girls and Boys Club, which provides day care and tutoring services. Information: (714) 663-6503.
