The City Council is considering ways to reduce the design cost for the city’s first skateboard facility at Steed Park, which went over budget by more than $15,000, officials said. The contract, drafted in December, stated that the cost would not exceed $25,000. It now stands at $41,000, based on the addition of a restroom and a master plan outlining how the rest of the park could be developed.
