Initial plans for a community policing center in Foothill Ranch were unanimously endorsed by the City Council last week. The city currently operates a center, run by trained senior volunteers, in Saddleback Valley Plaza. The new center would be paid for with state safety funds. The council also approved plans to purchase a patrol motorcycle and other equipment necessary to provide coverage for the Foothill Ranch commercial property annexed last year.
