* Kimberly Herrera of Santa Paula has been hired as assistant manager of the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks. Her duties will include assisting in all operations and marketing functions.

Previously, Herrera was an administrative assistant at the Oxnard Factory Outlet shopping center.

* Frans van Ouwerkerk, owner of Windmill Foil & Emboss in Camarillo, won the bronze award in the Images of Quality Expressions of Excellence competition. His entry was an embossed business card with a gold foil border.

* Kioren Moss of Ventura has been elected president of the International Right of Way Assn.’s tri-counties chapter for 1999. Other officers from Ventura County are Jarold O. Barnett of the Edison Co. in Ventura, treasurer; and Michelle Templin of Hamner-Jewell & Associates in Ventura, assistant treasurer.

The organization consists primarily of government real estate officials and the firms that serve them.

* Lennart Bosman has been appointed western regional sales manager for the Cargocaire Division of Munters Corp., a manufacturer of industrial dehumidification equipment. He will be based in Camarillo.

His Rocky Mountain States West territory consists of 13 states, including Alaska and Hawaii.

* Dan McGrath has joined Fresh Directions International in Ventura as domestic sales representative. He will be responsible for sales of the company’s products to wholesale and food-service customers in the United States.

Fresh Directions markets avocados, mangoes, papayas and coconuts to customers in the United States, Canada, Japan and Europe.

* Julie Kamell has been hired as account manager at Kodiak Communications in Moorpark. Her responsibilities will include assisting in the management of existing accounts, new business development and supporting the various departments within the agency.

Kamell previously worked for Grey Advertising.
