What Did You Eat for Dinner Last Night?

“I made something out of the London magazine Hello. It was fantastic. It’s called Hombre in the Hat and they say it’s a ‘flavorsome version of classic Toad-in-the-Hole, which uses chorizo and whole cloves of garlic with a spicy red Shiraz wine from Australia.’ Well, I didn’t have that. You take an 8-inch baking dish and put three sausages in it, three vine-ripened tomatoes and three cloves of garlic. You brown everything up in a 400-degree oven for about five minutes, then you pour a popover batter over it and bake it for about a half-hour. It all puffs up and it is absolutely to die over.”
