Councilwoman Maria Moreno will host a community meeting at the Gomez Center on March 9 at 6 p.m. to update residents on sidewalk construction in the Atwood area and the status of various parks and recreational programs.

But, citing potential litigation, Moreno said she will not comment on the claims recently served on the Police Department and city on behalf of 15 families in Atwood who allege officers violated their civil liberties and constitutional rights during a Jan. 6 search and seizure of evidence and suspects in a murder case. The Police Department maintains officers acted legally and lawfully in the service of search warrants across north Orange County.
