Third Annual Seminar on Writing for Television

“Breaking the TV Barrier: The Shifting TV Landscape,” the third annual television writing seminar presented by the Scriptwriters Network and Women in Film, will be held Saturday at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

The 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. event will feature writers from current and former TV series including “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Charmed,” “Ellen,” “Jesse,” “Frasier,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Sports Night” and “The Magnificent Seven.”

Six panels will cover topics such as writing for animation, the development process, creating new series, and blurring the lines between drama and comedy.

General admission is $75, with discounts available for students and Writers Guild members.
