Fidelity National Financial Inc.’s stock moved sharply lower earlier this week in heavy trading, but the Irvine provider of real estate financing and title insurance said it knows of no reason for the recent volatility.

On Wednesday, the shares hit a 52-week low of $17.50 before rallying to close at $18.75, down $4.75 for the day on volume of 1.6 million shares, nearly 10 times the daily average over the last three months.
