Trophies were awarded Friday to 23 floats in the 110th Tournament of Roses with the parade theme “Echoes of the Century.” The winner’s list, including theme, sponsor and description of category:

Sweepstakes Trophy: “Friends of the Rain Forest,” Rain Bird Sprinkler Manufacturing Corp. Most beautiful entry with outstanding floral presentation and design.

Lathrop K. Leishman Trophy: “A Century of Roses,” Freemasons. Most beautiful float entered by a noncommercial sponsor.

President’s Trophy: “Mother’s Day,” Florists’ Transworld Delivery. Most effective overall floral presentation, use of flowers and design of floral arrangements.

Grand Marshal’s Trophy: “There’s No Place Like Home,” California Building Industry Assn. Excellence in creative concept, design, dramatic impact and effectiveness.

Directors’ Trophy: “Circus Memories,” Eastman Kodak. Outstanding artistic merit in design and floral presentation.

Theme Trophy: “One Giant Leap for Mankind,” American Honda. Excellence in presenting the parade theme in design and flowers.

Judges’ Special Trophy: “The Cat’s Big Adventure,” Universal Studios. Most spectacular showmanship and dramatic impact.

Queen’s Trophy: “Music From the Acropolis,” Order of AHEPA--Greek American organization. Most effective use and display of roses in concept, design and presentation.

Isabella Coleman Trophy: “Children of the World,” Kiwanis. Best presentation of color and color harmony through use of flowers.

Princesses’ Trophy: “Celebrating a Classic,” Sparkletts. Most beautiful float 35 feet or less in length.

Animation Trophy: “King of the Classics,” Countrywide Home Loans. Best use of animation and motion.

Fantasy Trophy: “America’s Super Heroes,” Target. Most outstanding display of fantasy and imagination.

Humor Trophy: “Friends for Life,” Reser’s Fine Foods. Most comical and amusing entry.

International Trophy: “Ancient Traditions in the 20th Century,” China Airlines. Most beautiful entry from outside the continental United States.

National Trophy: “Family Vacation,” Automobile Club of Southern California. Best depiction of life in the United States.

Governor’s Trophy: “Decades of History,” state of California. Best depiction of life in California.

Founders’ Trophy: “Fast Food Revolution,” city of Downey. Most beautiful float built and decorated by volunteers from the sponsoring community or organization.

Mayor’s Trophy: “A Century of Wildlife Preservation,” Portland Rose Festival. Most outstanding entry from a city (U.S. or international).

Tournament Special Trophy: “Classic Movie Monsters,” U.S. Postal Service. Exceptional merit in multiple classifications.

Volunteers’ Trophy: “Service Is Timeless,” Rotary International. Best floral design of parade theme, 35 feet or less.

Extraordinaire Trophy: “Dynomania,” Unocal. Most spectacular entry including floats that cannot retract to 55 feet in length.

Past Presidents’ Trophy: “Discoveries of Jacques Cousteau,” 20th Century Insurance. Most creative design and use of both floral and non-floral materials.

Craftsman Award: “The Royal Kingdom of Thailand,” Thai Airways. Outstanding showmanship and dramatic impact more than 55 feet in length.
