Telecom Is Now IBaseT

Share

Telecom Solutions Inc., the Lake Forest manufacturing software developer, announced Monday that it has changed its name to Information Based Technology and added four sales offices.

The firm, which says it will be known by the moniker IBaseT, said its former name did not reflect its current product line or its customer base.

Founded in 1986, IBaseT originally focused on telecommunication networks designed for manufacturers and assembly factories. Over time, however, the firm shifted its focus to factory floor software, programs that could streamline and automate the manufacturing space. IBaseT’s customer base consists mostly of large companies in the aerospace, government and manufacturing maintenance arenas.

The new sales offices--in Louisiana, Indiana, Arizona and Illinois--are geared to adding customers, particularly mid-size firms with staffs ranging from 250 to 1,000 people, IBaseT officials said.
