* Christine Cohen has been selected chairwoman of the Channel Islands chapter of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers. Cohen is assistant auditor-controller for Ventura County.

The organization “promotes excellence in financial management through innovation, continuing education and the professional development of members.”

* Lori McGee will be installed as president of the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors during ceremonies Feb. 6.

Other officers to be appointed are: Steve Sill, president elect; Charles Devlin, vice president of governmental relations; Al Schwartz, vice president of education; Diane Galvin, vice president of internal operations; Charlie Robertson, vice president of membership; and Don Stanley, vice president of visitor and community affairs.

New directors are Joe Ahearn, Judy Winzer, Scott Green, Dan Marran, Debbie Voss, Laure Galardi and Francis Okyere.

* The National Assn. of Realtors recently selected Jim Link of Simi Valley as the 1998 recipient of its William R. Magel Award of Excellence. The group presents the award for distinguished service to an executive officer of a regional Realtors association.

Link, executive vice president of the San Fernando Valley-based Southland Regional Assn. of Realtors, “was a leader in the nearly total restructuring and repositioning of the real estate industry at the dawn of the age of the Internet,” said Bud Mauro, president of the Southland association, in a written statement.

Link is the 11th recipient of the Magel Award.

* NovaStor Corp. of Simi Valley has added two district sales managers. Norbert Baldaia is the new southwestern manager, and Eric Dee is the new northwestern manager. Both joined NovaStor in December and report to Max Bosetti, vice president of sales.
