The La Habra Chess Club’s tournament begins at 7:45 p.m. Friday in the Veterans Memorial Hall, in the Civic Center. The tournament will match entrants, who must be members of the United States Chess Federation and pay $6 in fees, by their playing ability. Information: (562) 691-2393.
