It’s been 10 years since a committee of residents reviewed the city’s charter, and Mayor Tom Daly thinks it’s time to take another look. At this week’s council meeting, Daly proposed that the council form a Charter Review Committee, to comprise seven or nine members, to propose amendment recommendations to the council. Any changes would be placed before voters. City staff and council members could also recommend changes to the city’s bylaws.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the council will revisit the proposal. The city clerk will also prepare an application process for residents interested in serving on the committee.
