School is more than just a place to learn math, English, history and science. It’s also a place to learn about ethics, according to some staff members at Brea-Olinda High School. During a school board meeting Monday, the high school’s principal and two teachers plan to urge trustees to support a program to teach kids about right and wrong, about ethics and worthy character traits. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at 1 Civic Center Drive.

The high school is hoping to receive money to train teachers through “Character Counts,” a program started by a Marina del Rey attorney worried about the decline of ethical behavior.
