Rewards Offered for Help in Solving 6 Killings
The City Council on Tuesday offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to arrests and convictions in six unsolved homicide cases.
Five of the six cases stem from killings since New Year’s, said Compton Police Lt. Danny Sneed. The other homicide was committed in December.
“If you are going to commit a homicide in Compton, you should know that the city is willing to expend a great effort in capturing and convicting the assailants,” said Keith Davis, a city spokesman.
The announcement follows the shooting deaths of two security guards at a low-income housing complex Jan. 3. The suspect in that case, David James Livingston, was arrested Friday.
The rewards are being offered in the cases involving the slaying of Oscar Barajas, 21; Robbie Robinson, 33; Leonard Bufkin, 42; Raymon Thomas, 17; Marcos Telayo, 24, and Arlando Bryant, 45.
