Zachery Ty Bryan, who plays Tim Allen’s eldest son on the ABC sitcom “Home Improvement,” and his family have moved into their newly built house in the L.A. area.

The 5,000-square-foot house, with four bedrooms and a media center, took a year to build. The family paid $585,000 for the lot.

The Country French-style house has a circular staircase, limestone floors, a pool and a spa. The home was professionally decorated and landscaped.

Bryan, 17, co-stars in “Carrie II: The Rage” with Amy Irving. The movie, a sequel to Stephen King’s “Carrie” (1976), is due to be released in July.

Fran Vernon and Rowena Emmett of MacGregor Realty in La Canada Flintridge represented both sides of the lot transaction, and Marty Perry of Premier Contracting Co. built the house.

David Cassidy, the former member of TV’s “Partridge Family” who went on to star in the MGM Grand’s show “EFX” in Las Vegas until the end of December, and his wife, songwriter Sue Shifrin-Cassidy, have purchased a five-bedroom, 5,600-square-foot-plus home on more than an acre in Las Vegas for $850,000.

Built in 1983, the home, behind gates, has a pool, spa and breakfast area.

The Cassidys moved to Las Vegas from New England two years ago, when the actor, now 48, was cast as the lead in the special-effects extravaganza, now starring Tommy Tune. The Cassidys moved to New England just before they sold their Sherman Oaks home for $1 million in 1995.

Their five-bedroom Connecticut home is listed at about $1.6 million with Carole Cousins of Homestead Realtors in Ridgefield, Conn.

Freddie DeMann, co-founding partner with Madonna in Maverick Records and her former manager, and his wife, Candy, have listed their Malibu home at $2.75 million for sale and $15,000 a month to lease. The house has been on and off the market since 1996.

Despite recent differences between DeMann, 59, and Madonna, Maverick, founded in 1992, has generated more than $750 million in revenues with such artists as Alanis Morissette. DeMann, head of the label, was offered a $20-million to $40-million buyout in December.

The DeManns, who have a home in town, rarely use the Malibu house, which they’ve owned since 1991. The house has three bedrooms in about 3,000 square feet plus a workout room, steam shower and two-bedroom, two-bath guest quarters. The house also has 45 feet of beach frontage.

Jack Pritchett of Pritchett-Rapf & Associates, Malibu, has the listing.
