Fish Cakes Recalled

About 1,000 packages of clam meat fish cakes are being recalled because they contain egg white and wheat gluten not declared on the ingredient label, the Doo Rae Trading Co. said Thursday.
The Pusan Fishcake Corp.-brand products in 12.3-ounce packages were distributed to retailers and wholesale distributors in California and New York, said Indy Kim, a company spokesman.
Egg white and wheat gluten may cause serious and life-threatening reactions to people who are allergic to them. No allergic reactions have been reported.
Consumers can obtain further information about what to do with the fish cakes at the place of purchase.
