O.C. EARNINGS

Javelin Systems Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of touch-screen point-of-sale computers posted net income of $574,000, or 11 cents per share, for the second fiscal quarter, up from $92,600, or 3 cents a share, for the comparable period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 rose to a record $17.9 million from $4.5 million.
