COSTA MESA

The City Council, in separate motions, has made 21 appointments and reappointments to six city committees. One of the committees, the new Community Foundation, had eight members named. The nonprofit foundation will be responsible for overseeing donations to the city from private groups and individuals. The Newport Boulevard Advisory Committee is another new committee; it will implement the Newport Boulevard Specific Plan. Appointments to that committee will be postponed until the committee needs to take action.
