ANAHEIM

* South Empire Street: Report of a residential burglary in the 400 block at 8:15 a.m. Jan. 15.

* South Harbor Boulevard: Report of an auto theft in the 1300 block at 8:19 p.m. Jan. 15.

BREA

* North Kings Canyon Road: Police arrested a 55-year-old man for petty theft in the 900 block at 6:34 p.m. Monday.

BUENA PARK

* Manchester Boulevard: A transient locked himself in a bathroom for 30 minutes in the 6000 block but was gone when police arrived; reported at 12:29 a.m. Monday.

COSTA MESA

* Newport Boulevard: A bicycle worth $300 was stolen in the 2600 block between 4 and 6 p.m. Jan. 15.

* Bristol Street: A cellular phone worth $208 was stolen from a car in the 3300 block between 2 and 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

CYPRESS

* Teresa Avenue: A 1995 blue Honda Accord was burglarized in the 4100 block and about $200 in clothing was stolen; reported at 3:42 p.m. Saturday.

* Valley View Street: Report of a stolen 1956 pink-and-white Ford station wagon in the 9200 block at 9:51 a.m. Sunday. A student said that when he returned to the Cypress College parking lot, his car was gone.

DANA POINT

* Seville Place: Report of a robbery alarm in the 34000 block at 11:09 a.m. Friday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Warner Avenue: Two cars were broken into, and a purse and fanny pack were stolen while the owners were at a school program in the 9600 block; reported at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14.

* Goldenrod Avenue: Someone went to a person’s house, got angry and threw a potted plant through the window in the 11300 block at 5:53 p.m. Friday.

FULLERTON

* East Yorba Linda Boulevard: Report of a stolen 1986 black Nissan pickup in the 2600 block at 12:26 a.m. Jan. 15.

GARDEN GROVE

* Morningside at Buena streets: Police arrested a teenager in connection with a stolen car at 8 p.m. Saturday.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Hamilton Avenue: Two people lit fires in trash cans in the 9500 block at 1:46 a.m. Monday.

* Garfield Avenue: Teenagers were reportedly shooting pellet guns into the air in the 7600 block at 12:22 Monday.

IRVINE

* 405 Freeway at Jamboree Road: Report of a vehicle burglary at 7:01 a.m. Wednesday; the driver’s-side window was smashed and the car stereo stolen.

* Eastshore: Someone used a hacksaw on a coin machine and stole $200; reported at 9:14 a.m. Wednesday.

* Heidi Avenue: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 22000 block at 10:52 p.m. Monday.

* Orangethorpe Avenue: Someone broke into a 1998 Honda Civic, items taken unknown, in the 5600 block between 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Howard Avenue: A 9-year-old boy was escorted home by police after throwing sticks at a residence at 12:34 p.m. Monday.

* Ranger Drive: A resident reported that the rear windows of his building near Katella Avenue were shot out by someone in a passing car at 3 p.m. Monday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Trabuco Road: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 26000 block at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* MacArthur Boulevard: Three laptop computers worth $5,000 were stolen from a business in the 3900 block sometime between Saturday and Monday.

* East Adams Avenue: A motorist reported being the victim of a hit-and-run in the 1800 block at 9:57 p.m. Saturday.

* East Imperial Highway: Report of a burglary in the 1100 block at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* I-5 at Avenida Presidio: Report of a traffic collision, injuries unknown, at 2:58 p.m. Friday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Calle Borrego: Report of a robbery alarm in the 33000 block at 5:23 p.m. Friday.

SANTA ANA

* West 1st Street: Police were looking for a man who allegedly dropped a cement outdoor umbrella base on a sleeping man’s face in the 4000 block; reported at 3 a.m. Monday. The injured man suffered only minor cuts. Police said the man who allegedly dropped the block was a family friend.

SEAL BEACH

* Oakmont Road: A Dodge Charger was reported stolen Sunday. The resident believed it has been taken while she was out of town from Sept. 11, 1998, to Saturday. Police discovered the vehicle had been towed a month ago because of a street resurfacing project, and it was in a parking lot near her home.

STANTON

* Chapman Avenue: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 8000 block at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* East 1st Street: Report of an assault and battery in the 1100 block at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday.

* Newport Avenue: Someone smashed the window of a 1997 Honda Civic in the 14300 block and attempted to steal a stereo; reported at 5:41 a.m. Tuesday.

* Santiago Boulevard: Report of a suspicious person in the 17000 block at 6:04 p.m. Jan. 15.

WESTMINSTER

* Opal Circle: Someone attempted to light a residential garage door on fire in the 8900 block sometime Saturday night. The door did not burn.

YORBA LINDA

* Esperanza Road at Fairmont Boulevard: Police cited a man for driving when his driving privileges had been revoked at 1:28 p.m. Monday.
