Police Search for Robber, 3 Attackers
Police are asking the public’s help in solving two Port Hueneme cases--the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver and an attack on two area teenagers.
About 10:30 p.m. Dec. 28, a Toppers Pizza driver was robbed as he returned to his car after making a delivery in the 500 block of Ponoma Street, Police Sgt. Ken Dobbe said.
Police do not have a detailed description of the suspect but said he was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun and fled on foot.
About 5:30 p.m. Dec. 18, two local boys, 15 and 18, were stopped by three men as they walked near Hueneme Road and Market Street, Dobbe said.
The suspects are Latino, in their late teens and have shaved heads.
They told the victims that they had a gun and then threw a beer bottle at them, Dobbe said.
The victims fled on foot in different directions.
The suspects chased the 15-year-old to a home in the 200 block of Seaview Street, where they struck him in the face with another beer bottle before fleeing.
The boy suffered some minor facial injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK.
Anonymous calls are accepted and cash rewards are offered.
