Where Fest’s Elite Treat Their Poor Aching Feet

How do stars like Rosanna Arquette, Kelly Rutherford and Duncan Sheik get away from the flurry of parties, screenings and skiing at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City? They go to a spa.

For the first time ever, Estee Lauder has brought complimentary spa services to Sundance. Set up in a condo about five minutes from downtown, Estee Lauder is taking appointments through Thursday. But not just anyone can indulge in the massages, manicures, makeup applications and foot / hand reflexology treatments.

“We are reaching out to the established entertainment community, as well as up-and-comers. Casts, producers and directors are invited, as [are] special friends and a select group of celebrities,” says Cheryl Crispin, vice president of marketing for the company.

Crispin says the response has been tremendous. “Massage has been the most popular treatment, followed closely by pre-premiere makeup ‘Sundance style,’ which means a natural-looking powder, blush and lip gloss. Some people are also coming in before skiing to make sure they have sun and weather protection.”
