First Fidelity Thrift and Loan Assn.: The Irvine company said net income for the fourth quarter totaled $886,366, down 31% from the $1.3 million reported a year ago. Net income for the year advanced 51% to $5.9 million from $3.9 million. Total assets grew 25% to $423.7 million from $339.8 million.
