Vitesse to Acquire Serano Equity Interests

Vitesse Semiconductor in Camarillo has announced that it will acquire all the equity interests of Serano Systems Corp. for common stock.

Officials said the transaction, which will be accounted for as a pooling of interests, will have no material impact on Vitesse’s financial results. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

Serano manufactures semiconductors and software products for storage area networks. The company, which has 13 employees and is located in Colorado Springs, Colo., has three products in production.

Vitesse designs and manufactures integrated circuits for high-bandwidth communications and automatic test equipment. It has headquarters in Camarillo and manufacturing facilities in Camarillo and Colorado Springs.
