Boy, 11, Held After Sister Is Shot Dead

An 11-year-old boy faced a first-degree murder charge, after his 13-year-old sister was shot in the back as she was eating breakfast, police said. The girl’s body was found on the kitchen floor after her brother called police. Officials said they had no motive in the shooting. The family lives in the small town of Minneola, Fla., about 25 miles west of Orlando. Police said the children’s parents had left for work, leaving them to get ready for school.
