Volunteers Sought for Hospice Work
Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Assn. is seeking volunteers to help hospice patients. A six-session training course sponsored by Camarillo Hospice will be held Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon beginning Tuesday.
Training will be held at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital, 2309 Antonio Ave., in Camarillo. The cost is $10 and includes the hospice training manual. Preregistration is required.
Hospice care focuses on improving the quality of life and meeting the special needs of terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers are trained and supervised by professionals in health care and counseling. For more information, call Maddy Hazard at 642-0239, Ext. 775.
