Computer Sciences Names New Consulting Group President

* Computer Sciences Corp., an El Segundo-based provider of information technology services, has named Kirk Arnold president of its Consulting Group unit. Shesucceeds Jim Saviano, who will oversee the continued expansion of CSC’s global e-business strategy. In her new role, Arnold will be responsible for CSC’s commercial systems integration and management consulting services in North America. Arnold was promoted from Consulting Group vice president of strategic services.

* Hughes Electronics Corp. of El Segundo has named K.S. “Radha” Radhakrishnan vice president and chief information officer. He succeeds James Woods, who is retiring. Radhakrishnan will continue in his present position as vice president and CIO for Hughes’ Space & Communications division.

* Real estate developer J.H. Snyder Co. of Los Angeles has named John Gebhardt senior vicepresident. He will be involved in the company’s new development projects. Gebhardt previously served as managing director of CB Richard Ellis Inc.’s West Los Angeles office.

* Warner Bros. has restructured its Worldwide Corporate Promotions department. Senior Vice President Bob Schneider’s responsibilities will expand to include promotional activities for the Burbank-based movie studio’s films. Schneider will report to Sanford E. Reisenbach, the company’s executive vice president of marketing and planning, on corporate promotional matters; and to Brad A. Ball, president of Domestic Theatrical Marketing. Schneider joined Warner Bros. in 1995 from the Chicago-based promotion agency Frankel & Co., where he headed McDonald’s Corp. account.

In addition, Warner named Erin Corbett director of National Theatrical Promotions, a move up from her post as manager of that area.

* Alliance Bank of Culver City made several recent appointments: Walter “Skip” Burrows was named vice president of its real estate and construction loan department; Donna D. Robertson was named vice president in the commercial lending department; and Sue Weiss was named assistant vice president in charge of commercial loan administration.
